Reporting to the Head of Information Governance and Policy, this role is central to ensuring Achieving for Children maintains compliance with the UK General Data Protection Regulations (GDPR) and the Data Protection Act (DPA) 2018. The post holder will be the first point of contact for public enquiries relating to both Freedom of Information requests and Data Subject Requests under the GDPR, requiring the coordination and professional processing of all FOI requests. A significant part of the scope includes processing DSRs, which involves the redaction of information and the preparation of reports for the public, alongside maintaining effective systems for recording and controlling all statutory requests received under the GDPR, DPA, and Freedom of Information Act. Candidates must possess knowledge and understanding of this relevant legislation and demonstrate outstanding communication and interpersonal skills, proven analytical and problem-solving skills, and the ability to work flexibly and independently with limited oversight, driven by a passion to deliver excellent outcomes for children.
