The statutory assessment officer will be responsible for monitoring the end to end progress of the assessment, ensuring cases are well prepared for decision making forums, drafting the EHCP and assessment summary, liaising with families and schools and professionals across education, health and social care to gain additional information, as well as identifying a suitable placement to name in section I. The Statutory Assessment Officer will work as part of the Statutory Assessment Team which sits within the SEND Service.  The SEND Team is responsible for managing requests for an Education, Health and Care Needs Assessments and maintaining Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCP) for children and young people aged between 0-25 living in the borough of Kingston and Richmond.
