Step Up to Social Work Applications to open in February 2025!
Are you interested in a career in social work but don’t hold a degree in the field? The Step Up to Social Work programme offers an intensive, 14-month, full-time pathway to becoming a child and family social worker.
Programme Highlights:
- Hands-on Experience: Complete 170 placement days working with vulnerable children and families in a local authority.
- Academic Excellence: Combine placements with university-based learning to earn a Postgraduate Diploma (Level 7) in Social Work.
- Funding Support: Receive a tax-free bursary of £21,995, paid in monthly instalments to support you throughout your training.
Eligibility Requirements:
To apply, you’ll need:
- A minimum 2:2 degree qualification or, if applicable, a predicted 2:2 for final-year students (depending on your chosen regional partnership).
- At least 6 months’ full-time experience (paid or voluntary) working with vulnerable children, young people, families, carers, or vulnerable adults.
