Vacancy: Social Workers, Merton Adults Social Care
Merton Adults Services is looking for registered Social workers and Newly Qualified Social Workers that are motivated to assist in the day to day running of care management duties, under the advice and guidance of the Team Manager, and to carry out the statutory duties of the Local Authority.
These positions are within the Adult Social Care services, and are located in various teams across the service, including First Response and the Locality Teams. They are looking for people who are ambitious and excited to support people in our local area, and who can support the journey to excellence, building on the changes and improvements Merton has been making, ensuring that they work in a more customer focussed, flexible way, focusing interventions towards prevention.
Experience in either Adult’s Services or a multi-disciplinary setting would be desirable, and you will need to be able to demonstrate your knowledge and understanding of the Care Act assessment process, and other relevant Adult Social Care Legislation.
If you are a NQSW and wanting to apply, you will receive a comprehensive induction, regular supervision, and a protected caseload. During the ASYE you would be assessed against the Knowledge and Skills Statement for Social Workers in Adult Services Your assessor will review your progress with you throughout your first year in practice.
