Each Pod consists of social workers, newly qualified social workers, senior social workers, family support workers, youth workers, parenting workers and a consultant practitioner. The Pods’ main functions are the assessment and planning for children in need, those subject to protection plans and those children in the care of the Local Authority. Family Support Workers will work within the context of the relevant legislation and guidance, in particular ‘Working Together’ and ‘The Framework for the Assessment of Children and their Families’.
