Research Report – UK Social work in the Time of Covid-19

Centre for Action Learning has recently published their self-funded research into ‘UK Social Work in the Time of Covid-19′. The aim was to understand the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on UK social work and to use their findings to support the learning and development of the social work profession, social work employers, social work policy makers and Government.

Just over a month after UK lockdown began, they invited social workers from across the UK to participate in a study to document their experiences during this pandemic.  This study lasted six-weeks and was concluded on the 29th May 2020 and included over 200 survey responses and over 50 interviews with social workers across the UK.

As part of this research report they have also compiled a range of resources to support to support social workers, social work teams, organisations and other stakeholders with their collaborative problem-solving activities. The report and resources can be downloaded here.
