Experienced Social Worker – Children in Care

Merton’s Family Support and Safeguarding Service are looking for Experienced Social Workers to join our long term Social Work teams for a rewarding role.

Our children’s services have been judged Outstanding by Ofsted and we are continuing to move forward to keep improving our standards of practice and response to Children and Families. Merton’s Leaders are committed and focused on supporting our staff and families and keeping children and young people at the heart of our work.

In Merton we have a blended practice model which combines Systemic Practice, Relationship Based Social Work and Signs of Safety and is embedded throughout all of our work with Children and Families. There is also a well-established and connected multiagency partnership and together we strive to:

You will need to be a qualified social worker, registered with Social Work England and with relevant experience in statutory safeguarding services and delivering high impact and quality safeguarding services.

You should be able to demonstrate an ability to manage a caseload of families and children with complex needs,  work in partnership and seek supervision and guidance, support team activities and strategic priorities.
