Mental Health Social Worker (AMHP) – Adult Recovery and Support Teams (1x Morden RST & 2x Wimbledon RST)  

We are interested in hearing from Care Coordinators who are AMHPs, or ready to progress to this next step in their mental health career

The Council has maintained strong partnership agreement with South-West London and St Georges, Mental Health Trust. Consequently, we ensure that our Social Care Staff have the support required to carry out demanding mental health roles.

This is an exciting time to join Merton’s Mental Health Services. We are working on the benefits afforded from the NHS Long Term Plan. Also, we are refreshing and improving our Partnership arrangement, across Health and Social Care. This offers opportunity to adjust and embrace a changing mental health landscape. We are committed to implementing enhancement to the presence of Mental Health Social Work, and are involved in nationally recognised project 

You will benefit from a management structure which aligns Psychiatric and Social Care expertise.

We develop our workforce, through involvement in national initiatives, to train, review and advance the unique contribution of Social Work, in our mental health settings.

In your day-to-day work, we support you to deliver improved life choices for our most vulnerable residents. Intervention is targeted, with purpose. We focus on measurable outcomes. 

So, we are seeking creative, enthused professionals.

A key element of this is effective and reflective supervision. 

We are interested in hearing from you if you are an Approved Mental Health Professional (AMHP) or an experienced Mental Health Social Worker, expecting to be supported while you take the next step in your career
