Some exciting opportunities have arisen in the Occupational Therapy Team at the London Brough of Merton. The OT Service works for residents of Merton of all ages. Our aim is to provide service and support to improve the lives of our residents to promote independence and choice and to enable residents to have a meaningful and fulfilled life.
We are looking for three motivated and talented occupational therapists with excellent communication skills, who can work independently and hold and manage their own caseload. Our service is paperless and we require an OT with good IT skills. The successful OT should want to support and develop the service, have professional curiosity, and use evidence-based practice.
In this role, you will be expected to complete occupational therapy assessments and plan interventions for disabled residents within the borough. Depending on your assessment outcome, you will identify suitable equipment and adaptations to promote independent living and improve quality of life. If the need for rehousing is identified, you will provide professional advice to the resident enabling them to address their housing need.
You will work closely with your colleagues in the occupational therapy team as well as all other adults social care teams as reablement, hospital to home team and the locality social work teams. There are opportunities for networking with our NHS colleagues, care agencies and the voluntary sector in the borough.

You must hold a degree (BSc or MSc) in occupational therapy and be currently HCPC registered.
