The service supports schools in developing sustainable inclusion strategies and practices, as well as offering advice and guidance about children with SEN, including those with challenging behaviour and social and emotional difficulties which impact on behaviour for learning.  Our teachers and tutors work with many children who need additional support. This includes children with medical, learning, emotional, behavioural or communication difficulties.Teachers and tutors work under the direction of Education Inclusion Support Service Leadership to develop, deliver and manage packages of individual or group support for pupils that are out of education due to medical reasons, on SEN commissioned tuition programmes and/or pupils that are working in alternative provision settings.Teachers and tutors will be expected to plan, deliver and assess outstanding teaching and learning using proven methods and approaches that enable young people to learn most effectively. They will use their extensive SEN knowledge and experience to facilitate a learning climate that is open and non-threatening but nonetheless rigorous. Teachers and tutors will carry out baseline and diagnostic assessments, formulating lesson plans as appropriate. They will set clear learning objectives and plan for and teach across the whole age and ability range  setting high expectations for students behaviour, learning, motivation and presentation of work.  They will keep high quality records to promote tracking and monitoring of pupil progress Teachers and tutors will establish trusting relationships with families as well as liaising with other agencies and professionals as part of a multi agency network.
